Long known for its agricultural roots, Ventura County produces large quantities of citrus, strawberries and many other row crops. Aside from a brief cameo in the movie, Sideways, Ventura County is not generally known as a wine country destination. Changing that paradigm, seven Ventura County wineries joined forces in June of 2008 to create their own Ventura County Wine Trail map. Though the grapes themselves may not come from Ventura County, the wineries here are passionate about creating world-class wines and creating a memorable tasting experience right here in Ventura County.

The dream of creating a Ventura County Wine Trail has come to fruition, along with this website. Created as a full-service travel planning tool for everything to do in and around Ventura County, we want to share the place we work, play and live with all of you.
